Cam is a fourth-year student completing a bachelor’s of music with a specialization in music cognition. Cam spent the winter term of his third year in the MAPLE Lab as a 3QQ3 student as a part of the auditory alarms project. This year Cam is eager to begin his thesis  focused on implementing musical principles in the design of medical alarm tones in order to reduce their annoyance. Cam hopes to learn more about how varying the musical properties of sound can affect listeners’ perceptions of how pleasing those sounds are.  Outside of the lab, Cam spends his free time practicing trombone, composing music and learning Spanish.
