Nic Ballarin

Nic Ballarin (former thesis student) holds an Honours (B.A) in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour (Music Cognition Specialization). He started in the MAPLE Lab in his second year of undergrad as a 2QQ3 student working on a project focussing on the pro-social benefits of music. He then continued to complete a 3QQ3 in the lab, working on a variety of projects during his third year. Nic then completed his thesis, “The effects of music listening on implicit racial attitudes” with Dr. Schutz in his fourth year. Outside of the lab, Nic plays on the McMaster Ultimate Frisbee team, and enjoys listening to, and producing, electronic dance music.
